My Chai is now 5

Chai celebrated her 5th birthday on Saturday. I'm amazed at how the time has passed, as she is my first born. We had a lovely party at home, which I will share more of when I gather more photos from people who smartly captured every detail of the day.
Chai chose a PINK and PURPLE theme for her party (as they're her fave colours.... well pink has been since the moment she could choose for herself and purple is a recent addition. Amazed she has allowed purple in to her life, so strong is her love for pink!).

Chai, I love you and am so happy you chose me to be your mummy in this life. I will strive to be there for you when you want me to and to let you be your free spirit the rest of the time. Um, sorry I yell at you sometimes..... but I will continue to make you peanut butter sandwiches with the crust cut off, cut into a moon.... so long as you ask for them. xxx

Happy Little Tummies yummy cakes

An old friend of ours has re-emerged into our lives and I found out that she makes these wonderful cakes!
Melanie makes and decorates cupcakes, birthday cakes and cakes for any occassion using certified organic ingredients, all-natural food colours and of course no preservatives or other chemicals. This means she can whip you up something that's GLUTEN FREE! (insert any other food sensitivity here)
Happy Little Tummies is based in Cheltenham, Victoria.
Looks like I won't need to bother making the birthday cakes anymore! Chai has her eye on this doll one already.....
at least I know the kids will be eating a good ol' "wholesome" cake and not running around like crazy scary monsters! You know what I'm talking about....

Random photo game...

Some work avoidance..... saw on bugandpop's this photo meme and wanted to play toooooo.
The rules are:
"Open the 6th picture folder on your computer, open the 6th photo and blog it. Write something about it. Then tag 6 more people to do the same."

The 6th folder I opened in my photo albums was Chai's 2nd birthday.
This shot was the 6th one and it shows daddy holding Chai at blowing out candle time on the massive cupcake mountain. Auntie 'rella made the chocolate cupcakes... there was heavenly chocolate icing on each one and colourful smarties, cherry ripe pieces, chocolate shavings to choose from!
We had adults and children alike, devouring these tasty cakes. I remember seeing Chai with chocolate all over her mouth and holding a cupcake ready to smear it on her face. Pure delight!

Okay, I know I am supposed to now "tag" 6 other people, but I don't know HOW to do that. (If you know, tell me!) So I'm doing a free for all and letting you do it if you want. Leave me a comment saying you have and I promise I will sneak a peek when you are not looking! No cheating now....6th folder, 6th picture.

Happy Birthday to me!!

Yes! It's true.... I am now 35 and still haven't turned into a sensible grown up! hehe
We took a trip to Pure Bread Bakery in Surrey Hills, for the most yummiest carrot cake (and gingerbread men for the girls). Too spoilt!
