Hussh! clothing was handmade by a couple of mums in Melbourne, who I used to see at the Suzuki Night market years ago. I fell in love with their designs and bright colours. The business was sold and this is the last of the original label.

Now on sale at great discounted prices, until Sunday morning.

Petal tutu skirts are bright, bold and fun!

I've been busy whipping up lovely petal tutu skirts for bpab.
I originally made one for La to wear to her BLUE birthday party last year and it was an instant hit with everyone there PLUS it's her most favourite skirt! Hooray! (She's a nappy and singlet kinda gal, so her wanting to wear a skirt is joy to me!)

Anyway, you can now have one for your very own. I am making a small selection, so the sizes are random in the shop. "How odd!" you exclaim..... it's because I am using re-claimed (or pre-loved) elastic waisted skirts that are in great condition, like the one below here:
Then washing it and turning it into something like the wonderful skirt below:

So you see, the sizes will be random, depending on the skirts I find.

The OTHER option is for YOU to send me an elastic waist skirt (about knee length) and choosing your own colours to go with it. I'll make up your very own petal tutu skirt and send it back to you! (You'll save $10 on the retail price, or $5 if you want me to replace the elastic around the waist.)

Now we are extending the life of our favourite skirts or bringing back to life an unwanted, out-grown piece of kids clothing! There will be more to come in this inventive range too.

Monstar Kids Summer 09/10

I let the girls choose their favorite Monstar Kids item from our first shipment and this is what they chose:Chai 4 1/2: Lemon Lace Skirt ....... she wears it with a watermelon pink singlet top and both are very comfortable to wear to bed too!
La 3: Dragstar Tee...... she has worn it once so far with last Summer's green leaf shorts.

We got the last of the Winter Red Chalk range this week. Chai thought she'd model us the alternative way to wear the leggings (as hair) and the fish bone skirt (as a boob tube top.... she later fashioned it into a one sleeve top - which is rather hip right now!).

Truck singlets have a felt tip truck appliqued on them. Also available in Star applique.


Shiny body suits available in silver blue or silver pink.... perfect for dress ups and special occasions.


Terry towelling cover alls are fantastic to put on before and after getting wet. (Like at the beach, swimming lessons at the pool, after bath time) Available in pink, white and aqua blue.


Lastly, the 3 in 1 bag where you lay it flat and it becomes a change / play mat or a towel for baby and when you're ready to go - pop everything in the middle and draw in the straps to make a bag. Clever thinking!

Monstar Kids Winter = onesies, crochet & more elephants!

This is the first round of Monstar Kids clothing and we've got ONESIES!! So very cute!



Boyish offerings for the moment include these funky daks and the ever popular elephant applique in a long sleeve top. My little girls love the elephant top! Elephants rule!

It's all about folksy crochet for the girls this season. Denim, buttons and screen prints are all part of the Monstar look - with a crochet print flavour. How sweet are those pants??

Red Chalk is a Queensland based clothing label, imagined by graphics designer Kate Perry.
This Winter the collection of hoodies, jumpers, dresses, leggings, tracky pants and skirts are exploring the joys of food and why animals love what they eat!! (Well.... not too sure if oxes eat spinach, but the littlies won't know that!)

Okay, so I've decided to do a bit of an experiment!
I'm doing it with the Monstar Kids clothing range as Fiona had given me some images of her photo shoot for Summer 08/09.
I basically want to know what you prefer when browsing for clothing on the web!
Do you like seeing the garment worn on a body or just laid flat out on it's own with no distractions?

The prints on the fabrics are great! I love the shorts and they wear rather well too. (La has strutted her stuff in them already, teamed up with the birdy tree tee..... a real treat!)

Be it a day trip, a weekend or the whole works; it will give you the pep you've lost by this time of the year. (If you can't get away.....even a stolen moment at a cafe devouring sticky date pudding, could do the trick.)

Well, for us anyway. I have been talking about this for awhile and some of you may know already. I have decided (with the help of Oobi) to stop buying Oobi baby for the shop and sell what ever I have left. I have decided to start offering 'normal' post for purchases now. This means 3 to 5 days delivery (rather than the lightning overnight of Express Post) and some interesting packaging options!
I've been feeling a bit guilty about the plastic satchels I use for Express Post... you can not recycle them, so they're adding to land fill aren't they? So at least with regular post (through Australia Post), there will be a choice to re-use packaging. So that's why it's free this month!
I'll expect feedback from you too, as I still want to offer my amazing customers the best postage they can afford!
